Training and Development

We strive for excellence and encourage the development of all colleagues on topics including DEI, talent mapping and succession planning. We support growth through tuition reimbursement, access to enterprise-wide learning platforms and DEI and Blue Culture training.

Mentorship Program

Our Mentorship Program is an annual, nine-month-long, national initiative that pairs 10-15 mentors and mentees across the organization to accelerate the latter’s personal and professional growth. This program facilitates opportunities for colleagues and experienced leaders to network, participate in mutual learning experiences, and share knowledge.

Summer Students

During the summer, Choice Properties welcomes a group of students to gain hands-on experience across departments including Finance, IT, HR, and Operations. This program reflects our commitment to developing future talent, introducing fresh perspectives and fostering a workplace where learning and growth are encouraged at every level.

Homeward Bound
Industry Council

Choice Properties is an active member of the Homeward Bound Industry Council. The Homeward Bound program offered by WoodGreen Community Services is an innovative 4-year education and employment program that enables homeless or inadequately housed single mothers to earn college diplomas, start careers, and achieve financial self-sufficiency. In 2024 we participated in this program by hiring 2 full-time participants for one year.

Choice properties is proud to be a community partner with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) and Pride at Work Canada (PAWC), as both organisations provide education, advocacy and ensure safe and welcoming spaces for all.

Truth and
Reconciliation

Our work is tide to the traditional territories of the Indigenous Nations across Turtle Island. We honor their history and stewardship of the land and are committed to supporting Indigenous Peoples in meaningful ways. Through our ongoing commitment to reconciliation, we take intentional steps to build respectful and lasting relationships with Indigenous communities, including organizing events such as Indigenous Vendor Markets, National Indigenous History Month celebrations, and traditional smudging ceremonies.

Competitive Compensation
Salaries and incentives are rewarded objectively based on scope of work, impact and unique talent factors, and as per industry standards.  

National Pension Plan
Colleagues can receive a company match while contributing to the plan. 

Group RRSP
Through our group RRSP, colleagues can make regular contributions to the plan before income tax is applied and elect to have their annual bonus deposited to the RRSP pre-tax.

Learning & Development

Tuition Reimbursement  
Permanent full-time colleagues with a minimum of three months of continuous service are eligible for post-graduate studies or a professional designation.   

Professional Membership Dues
Permanent full-time colleagues who have completed three months of service are eligible for one professional association membership (e.g. CA, CGA, CPA, HRPA, etc.) per calendar year.

Colleague-Led Engagement  
Choice Properties has an active social calendar with events planned by our four colleague-led culture committees: Choice Cares Committee, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, Health and Wellness Committee, and Social Committee.
